Diamond Lil had a segment on earworms recently. I wonder how many other cartoonists picked up on them. I suspect a lot… it’s a small world, after all.

There should be at least one commercial jingle.

My cure for earworms; Pick a very short “melody” and play it through your noggin. For instance, I use the three-note NBC “theme”. Seems to work pretty well.

I once had a crop of sweet corn that suffered from earworms.

I used to try to listen to the SF Giants baseball games on my portable radio - until the “1-800 cars for kids” ad starts to play!!!! Just writing this has triggered it!! IT IS THE WORST EAR WORM EVER!!!

He’ll get rid of them easy enough. He’s going to play some Brubeck.

A fitting earworm for the lawn might be the Grass Roots’ “Midnight Confessions”.
