Today’s comic is in honor of Al Jaffee, who died on Monday at the age of 102, the legendary satirist and cartoonist known for Mad Magazine and of course, the Mad Fold-in. As a working caricature artist myself for a number of years (trained in part by Mad Magazine artists—hey Ed and Tom!), the news has hit in a lot of different ways, so today, a rare tribute comic.
It’s Two Party Opera tradition to have an activity page for comic numbers ending in “50,” and as always, I’ve added a link to the high-quality printable version to properly fold it for yourself!
Well done! The fold-in was always my favorite part of MAD. I’m sure my mother thought the magazine was going to rot my brain (part of the appeal, no doubt).
Last year we cleared out our attic and as I went through all the old well-worn MAD magazines, I had to stop and fold-in the last page on every one. It was a brilliant theme and this is a fabulous tribute.

Loved Mad Magazine back in the day – and Al Jaffee was a genius. This for letting us know – and the tribute!

Al Jaffe’s passing was also honored by The Daily Cartoonist, which also carries Comic Strip of the Day or CSOTD.
Recommended even for real conservatives.
