I started a backyard project that required a 1 foot ditch. I dug it out. My problem was getting out of that small ditch….knees not quite working 100%…..the really scary part is I had an image of a six foot ditch….
I actually laughed at today’s Pluggers because of how alarmed the chicken-lady plugger is about this. It’s called behavior-based advertising and it’s fine, chicken-lady! Well, it’s not, honestly, it’s a sign of our creeping lack of control over our own personal data and privacy, but it’s been like 15+ years at this point and (gestures around vaguely, including at the ads on this very website) it’s basically fine. Maybe you should get a walk-in bathtub! The computers think you’re interested and they’re rarely wrong.
Okay – those tubs that they advertise to sit in – how long does one have to sit in it while it fills and later drains? Can’t fill the tub and get in – when the door is opened the water will be all over the bathroom and beyond and the tub will be empty? One made a big deal that it “only” takes half an hour to fill.
Then again – they would not fit in our “full” bathroom. Our downstairs bathroom holds a sink and toilet with almost an overlap of the sink edge over the toilet bowl – and the upstairs one is the same plus a tub which can only be accessed from the end away from the sink and it is almost impossible to turn on the tub water while not in it – I have to help husband by turning on and adjusting the water for showers for him as he will get ill bending around the sink to do so.

And you’re an advanced plugger when you can’t stand up to walk in to your bathtub.

As a variant on the old joke, you know that you’re old when your legs give up more than you do.;-D

I don’t need a walk in bathtub, I need a walk-in shower stall to it’s easier to bathe my dog (see picture icon to the right).

One ad for a walk-in tub did finally add a tag line that it drained quickly — of course it didn’t say how quickly.

About the time AARP gave up on me, they started in on my wife. So, who retires at 52 yo, besides me that is?

That’s why I quit AARP. It was like a contest to dream up ads for things I will never, ever use.

It’s no worse than CARP and their constant whining. :)
