You’d think that when he’s in first grade, he should already know how to swing.

As I said to the physio when I first had to use a walking frame “Right! Where’s the Kickstarter on this thing”…..

That kinda sounds like Manuel Override. A great name for a Latinx MCU superhero! Too bad Oscar Isaac is already taken.

Nobody wants to push you, Calvin—not even Hobbes.

Could the reason be that YOU sometimes push people too far??

Now I need to find a swing and see if I remember how to get it moving by just leaning back and forth and pumping my legs.

Stand up to get her goin’ and then drop to a seated position.

Keep pumping until you scare yourself. Enjoy the ride.

Maybe the swing is a metaphor for life?

Nothin’ beats a rope swing.

I’m afraid Calvin’s short little legs won’t do the job.

Everything has a motor today, from bikes to skateboards. No body uses their legs anymore.

Pump it up Calvin!

The manual assist is located on the other end of your landing gear. If ground contact is not possible place your hands higher on the chains and your feet in your seat and then try. If that fails fall back to the teeter totter.

Helps if you walk it back a few steps, with the swing behind your back, and then pull yourself up on the seat. The forward momentum will give you that push you seek, Calvin. It’s up to you to keep it going though.

The controls aren’t on the seat, Calvin. They’re on the ground and you reach them with your feet.

The word of the day is “Push!”

He will conclude he goes to a cheap school and demand his parents send him to an exclusive one

His legs are to short to reach the ground from the swing. So someone has to push him. It’s normal for very small boys, though in regards to the art (no offense, its great) but in real life most six year olds swing themselves.

This one is a bit sad at first.

Calvin sometimes you need to create your own sunshine. Just make use of your cute feet to push.
