I did a remote video interview for my last job and part of my answer to “why should we hire you?” was that I’d never take the last cup of coffee without making a new potl
A recently aired radio program was about stress factors aboard airline flights. One segment was about reclining seats, which intrude into the spaces of other passengers. Another segment was about passing gas. Seems the likelihood of passing gas increases due to the drop in pressure.
we had various coffee machines, coffee bean bags and filters all throughout our building. invariably many people couldn’t be bothered to start a new pot after taking the last cup. even worse, some selfish person would start taking his cup when he would make a new pot – he would take his cup of coffee with the beginning of the percolating because he liked his coffee strong. the rest of the pot was weak though

If I had a nickel for every time I found less than a quarter inch of coffee in the pot, I could probably buy my own Starbucks store…

Getting the last cup of coffee is one thing. Not making a fresh pot is another. And in some cases cause for a justifiable homicide.

Cliff, why did you say it like that? With a little smile? What good did you think would come of it?
