Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Talk abour losing your head! Interesting times we live in … Our incompetent President, Guillermo Lasso, facing a political impeachment trial in the National Assembly – which he would probably lose – last night invoked a never-used-before constitutional prerogative ( aptly named the Cross of Death ) in which he could dissolve the Assembly, call for new elections within 6 months, and govern during that time by Presidential dictate.
So for the next 6 months in Ecuador, we’ll be governed by a legislative body less Head of State who not only lost his head, but face, and probably the body of the majority voters.
He’s banking on the people hating the Assembly more than they do him. A dubious bet at best!

Again, a larger strip image is shown by (Ctrl- or right-) clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s MASTERPIECE #3133 (May 17, 2023) blog entry, accessible by the Check out the blog! box after the last comment, and using the dropdown menu (even larger, if you trim what’s after .png from the URL). I have added a comment there pointing to the blog entry with my comment pointing to info about this artist I used to point to here. So far, 3 works by this artist have been used here (4 times total, including 1 repeat), the December 9, 2021, strip being the prior (the repeat). The October 18, 2017, strip has the prior non-repeat.
