This might be one of the worst jokes Peirce has done yet.

Another okay joke, I guess. Kinda feels like we’re too stuck on “Nate doesn’t read”, which, considering Peirce’s own expressed thoughts on graphic novels, is weird. Just feels like he’s way more amused by this joke than anyone else.

5\10, arc is losing steam, Peirce, don’t waste it.

Every book? Even comics?!

Nate’s relationship with Daphne doesn’t feel real. We haven’t seen them on a date together and matters haven’t been sealed with a kiss. They’ve confirmed that they like each other after weeks of build-up, and… That’s it. I was hoping that this arc was finally going to explore and develop their relationship, but it looks like it’s going to be an arc about Nate’s reading instead. Frustrating!

Since the 1960s, comic books have used a completely adult vocabulary. And libraries now have whole sections of Graphic Novels.

As a kid I wanted to get a book to read but had not really read much before. So I went to the library, held my hand out and went to the fiction section and just grabbed a book (more or less blindly) and decided whatever I grabbed, I’d read regardless. It was a Sci Fi book and I’ve not looked back since. I’ve read many hundreds since then.

Does Nate not read comic books with some regularity?

To be honest, I laughed at that one, say what you want about Hunny Bursts Nate, but Cinnamon Toast Crunch can’t BEAT!

Don’t hate the JOB…. just the little brats! Tell your jokes to your friends, but show a little respect for people trying to help you!

I’m honestly shocked at the amount of likes this strip has. While it isn’t historically bad as some people are saying, it definitely isn’t good either.
