I was an oldest child with no older cousins - no hand-me-downs for a long time! I had only brothers, and when they hit the male growth spurt and overtook me in height, I suddenly got a few hand-me-downs when I was old enough to appreciate them. ;) Best part is that at that age, they grow so fast they hardly have a chance to wear the things out!
It pays to be an only son. Out of my four sisters, the second and the third had to wear the oldest sister’s hand-me-downs. The youngest, who was more than ten years younger lucked out because my mother chucked out those clothes that didn’t fit the third!

Ya gotta own your look…like me in HS in an untucked button-down with the sleeves rolled up and a pair of Levi’s 501 Blues…

I inherited a bunch of shirts from my dad. With any luck at all, I won’t ever have to buy a shirt again.

I had hand me downs from garage sales outdates, I think my sister gained my hand me downs from other girls hand me downs or ladies hand me downs.
