When I bought some printed sheets The Late and Unlamented wanted me to get up and remake the bed. “The flowers make me dizzy.”
“Get in bed and turn off the light. You’ll never notice.” He stood there for a few moments, apparently thinking I’d actually get up and do it, but he finally did get into bed. And yes, he died a natural death.
I did wallpapering for many years. One gal had me hang a dark blue wallpaper patterned with small white specks in a bedroom. I was finished before she got home. She gasped when she walked into the room. The pattern actually made your head spin. Good thing it was a bedroom…most time in there you’d be asleep anyway! At the local hospital maternity ward, they hired me to hang wallpaper which was patterned with all sorts of small toys. Upon completion, the nurses looked at it and started laughing…if you stared at the wallpaper, it appeared as if the toys were floating around! We called it “Toys in Spaaaace”! (can’t imagine what it did to the poor babies, altho it’s said they can’t see very well at first, especially beyond 12 inches. That woulda been their saving grace!)

He has a point, a very small one. Once you turn the late out it doesn’t matter.

He does have a point. Actually, they could keep the old wallpaper and save the expense and work of replacing it.
