I don’t even notice anymore, I mail the odd bill here and there and send out Christmas cards once a year. At most it might add $5-$10 a year but probably much less. How much is the raise anyway?
US POSTAL SERVICE is still the least expensive way to maintain contact. Digital services do not reach everyone. The artwork on stamps absolutely thrill me.Folks who complain about the cost of postage probably have no clue how important that service is to so many. (IMHO)
The US has some of the lowest postage rates there are. And some of the best service even after the current Postmaster General’s attempts to destroy he USPS.
So, Stantis, how is that Free Market petroleum pump price since the beginning of the COVID outbreak working out for prices of everything which is transported using petroleum energy?
It has raised the price of everything, including US Postal Service delivery expense, in every nation on this planet. To a significant extent.
As high as prices have risen, though, that increase is comparatively near zero compared to the profit increases of gas/diesel industry providers.
Profits for gas/diesel industry providers are through the roof!
Thanks, unregulated FREE MARKET!
Too bad there isn’t some readily available treatment for Libertarian True Believers that would restore their ability to comprehend reality.
Not that any of them would ever consider availing themselves of such relief for their condition. They think it is everybody who does not think like them who doesn’t “get it”.
Gosh, how could the Post Office dare to raise prices to cover increasing costs? Business never do that! We should be running the Post Office as a business! /s
When I was a kid, it cost a nickel to send a letter. A Snickers bar also cost a nickel. Today, a letter costs 63 cents to mail, while that Snickers bar is $1.79. Plus, the Post Office offers the Forever Stamp as a hedge against inflation and future rate increases. I’m not sure where the complaint is.
DeJoyboy wanted to come out with a Forever stamp with his boyfriend Trump on it, but was persuaded not to do so because most Americans would have difficulty determining which side to spit on . . .
Movie with Kevin Costner called the Postman and I thought it was the most ridiculous premise about the Post Office being a forgotten part of history. Now when I think of it, doesn’t seem that far fetched

Maybe if we didn’t have a Postmaster General who was the Postal Service’s biggest enemy…

63 cents to send an envelope cross-country in a couple of days? It’s an outrage! /s

The US Mail is still one of the biggest bargains around. It’s a shame the the head of the Service is doing everything in his power to destroy it.

Awww, pity the poor Americans who don’t realize how fortunate they are. Check out what it cost to mail something in another country.

The Postal service is upgrading their fleet. New bigger mail trucks with A/C.

The rate hike doesn’t apply to Forever Stamps already issued. That was the point of them. So, what’s the point of this?
