it’s “enough of that” all year round for me

Socializing with people at work can be a bit tricky situation. Depending o the business it can lead to all sorts of problems or a supportive close knit team.

YES!

Auntie Acid is also Auntie Social.

Usually happens on or near the first of the month.

Most of the nurses felt that way about the surgeons.

It’s been enough for me for this lifetime.

I’ve always maintained a certain degree of aloofness with my coworkers. I was friendly with them, but not friends with them. I am friends with a number of my FORMER coworkers, subordinates and bosses.

Quota is up!

I hear that. What the heck are you supposed to do when the bosses wife starts hitting you?

Oh come on now Aunty, a drunk like you doesn’t have time to work, and it is never fun to socialize with someone down on a dirty bar room floor.

I did when I worked, but I don’t have that problem since I retired.

Rule 1: They’re your coworkers, not your friends. Rule 2: When they say they are your friend, watch your back.

I didn’t have the option. Either I had to go home and take care of my pets and/or my child, or for several years, my parents at their home, or was also taking extra college classes or working crazy overtime. I did have many lunches with co-workers, even dated one. But generally, I was friendly at work and left when my day was over. Overtime was out of the office except holidays.

Can’t recall ever doing that, even when I worked.

I’ve never really socialized with anyone at work. I was always that weirdo who went to work to work.

Actually, for me, it was that’s enough for this lifetime.

Only everyday and I work from home lol

that’s how my former co-workers felt about me… ☺
