Churches. The original grifters.

Wasn’t Christmas Early in Dick Tracy ?

I can just hear the cynics: “See? All those churches want is your money”. Yet many of them spend their weekends in casinos. And of course casinos aren’t interested in your money……

So five churches leaning on the parishioners to give more till it hurts, one church asking people to try praying. Sounds about right for these times.

Though Neil Enpray… that’s a pip of a GA name!

Had a local AM radio station back in the day with a DJ who did all sorts of screwy characters on his show. One was a reverend of questionable repute. His closing remark was:

" Don’t make me holler! Don’t make me shout! – Turn them pockets Inside Out !! " … :)

Clovis compliments Slim on doing a good job, but she is adding the O he left off. I guess he doesn’t know TO from TOO like so many people.

Is Jim getting a little cynical with every church sign being about money?

Looks like the churches in Gasoline Alley all worship the Almighty Dollar!!

“Seven days without prayer makes one weak.”

During a heat wave: “Come in. It’s comfortable inside. This church is prayer conditioned.”
