It’s yet another outcome of market concentration.

“At the beginning of the last century, about 2,000 editorial cartoonists worked for American newspapers. By 1957 the number of full-time newspaper cartoonists had fallen to 275. As recently as 2007, they numbered 84, but the decline has continued to the point that the number of salaried cartoonists has reached about 30.” Source: The End Times of the Political Cartoon – POLITICO Magazine https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2019/07/01/the-end-times-of-the-political-cartoon-227259

Many editorial cartoonists would benefit from editorial criticism. It’s not what you say but how you say it. There are way too many of you who say any old stupid thing without thought as to whether it quality work or not.

Actually it’s plant and microfauna material that can provide fossil fuel. The big guy content is insignificant.
