There are lots of those degree types out there. Appears that those who choose them almost never check the ‘marketplace’ for careers that require them. Many complete double majors with at least one as a practical application, while others plunge into the marketplace and flounder until they find a job or career that can cover the bills.
In this economy? Don’t be ridiculous. The unemployment rate is so low ANYONE can get a job. The economy is so strong there are Far more open positions than there are people to fill them.
Actually, you can have intellectual interests such as this and have a blue collar job at the same time. In fact, I much preferred my life when this was the case, instead of the office centered career.
