A plugger has specialities tools used once to fix the odd-balled water heater ignitor. Months later, he is scratching his head wonder what the heck are these?
The little pill magnet attached to a telescoping handle is indispensable to me. I am increasingly fumble-fingered and bending over or kneeling on the floor to pick op metal screws and such is difficult.
I have a number of specialty tools from various repair jobs in my tool box. I have to label them so I can remember what they were for. Most only used once but I don’t dare throw them out because I might need it again, Murphy will determine that it’s the day after I throw it out.
I have Snap On and Mac screwdrivers for driving screws. I have Craftsman and Harbor Freight for pounding on and prying. Sometimes they’re the correct tool for the job.
My grandfather would grab a table knife out of the flatware drawer. Infuriated my grandmother. You could always tell which knife had been used, the rounded end would have a twist bent into it. At least he often used the same victim every time, but not always.

Just about every tool in my tool box has been used as a hammer at one time….

Actually, as a guy, I think I can fix anything with a ballpean hammer.

Looks a lot like one of my old brake tools for adjusting the tension wheel.

Despite giving his wife tools, she always goes for the butter knife!

When his dentist tells him he needs to floss more, a plugger knows exactly which tool to use.

I’m 77, and I’ve never seen a bent screwdriver.

Watch it, boys, you’re making generalities again about ‘Pluggers’ ! ! ! ! There are quite a few of us that do use the correct tool for the job.

Failed again, none of my tools are rusty and I use the right tool for the job.

Different tools, for different uses. Slotted screwdrivers are good for prying things but you need a Phillips to make good holes.

Tools are like people, if they have been around quite a while and still look like new, they haven’t accomplished much.

My bent screwdriver gets enough work that it’s NOT rusty.

I was thinking about buying a ceramic bread knife. The brochure said “do not use to pry with, scrape paint, or as a screwdriver.”

Or a hammer.
