Was getting too cold so I brought in my Carolina Reaper, which is trying to set fruit. For someone I know who brags about being able to handle hot peppers.
My dad had two workbenches in the basement, one for his tools, and one for my mom with two 8 foot fluorescent lights for her vegetable seedlings. They were later planted in the outside gardens.
Wouldn’t it have been simpler to leave them at Meemaw’s house and drive over to water them? Or if she has a few special ones that need daily watering, bring just those few over?

The plants will love it especially if you talk with them. Think of them as your version of the Leaning Tree – therapy time.

‘s not right to seize a man’s basement like that. Just not RIGHT.

Let’s hope it’s not Meemaw’s garlic and jalapeno plants!!! Or if it is, go ahead and cuss at them — it makes them stronger!!! Vicky will love them!

Basements are no place for plants to last a week.

Leave the “man cave” alone, just as you do not mess with a “she shed”. Those are a person’s private “leave me alone” places.

do they have a skylight for the basement? Or a sun lamp? There’s no way those plants will last a whole week in a dark basement

If yours is like mine, Jimbo, you buy all kinds of things that you “might” need. Then you seldom need them.
