And, strangely enough, that inflation concern is overblown. Yes, we’re hurting. But it’s actually getting better as we speak. I guess it’s true: the “conservatives” aren’t able to look at the present anywhere near as well as they look at the past. That, and of course, they just prefer lying.

I think that the abortion issue is a particular case of a larger problem: Conservatives simply don’t like that women might be considered fully human adult people. They want to control them, particularly their reproductive organs. Because, I think, “men cannot do that” which bothers them in a very deep way. But also because “the bible says” various things. And of course because men LIKE being fully in charge.

The christian right wing fascists cooked up the issue of abortion and the repubs bought into it. Inflation is an issue worldwide but the repubs like to put all the blame on Biden. So, what point are you trying to make here Mr. Rall?

Abortion is such an important issue to Republicans, that they won’t talk about it in public.

And inflation is SO IMPORTANT to Republicans, that they have passed NO legislation nor even proposed any legislation to address inflation.

NONE.

They only claim that “spending needs to be reduced” without EVER specifying what spending.

They are not and never have been serious about reducing inflation.

Inflation, like every issue, is just something to weaponize and LIE about.

I think men should have no votes about abortion. They have NO IDEA what its like to have an unwanted pregnancy. If it’s inside the women’s body, it’s part of her. What if there was a law against men getting vasectomies? They’d be screaming through the roof. The idea that a fertilized egg is a person is ridiculous. If it were true then when a woman had a miscarriage there would be funerals. But there aren’t, are there.

Like republicans have been desperately and sometimes illegally passing laws at the state and federal level to ban inflation. The morons of the repug base don’t even know what inflation is just that it’s “the libs” fault so it must be bad.

The abortion issue has nothing to do with the “lives of the unborn”; it’s all about the power of the patriarchy.

I don’t get it. Abortions have always been something conservatives pull out of the hat on the back nine when it appears they are losing. Since when has it been an issue for democrats?

Actually, the Democrat’s biggest issue is to keep Republicans from being a traffic hazard as they run through the middle of the political highway,

They send money to an alleged billionaire and complain about prices. That makes sense.

They care about purchasing politicians but not about mothers and victims of rape, incest, and genetic defects. all of whom they’ll dump as soon as a woman’s in forced labor.Just ask Mitch…Mitch? Hello?

When Republican legislators tangle themselves with abortion laws, they lose, bigly.

As for inflation, it continually polls as the #1 concern among Americans.

Why would the Dems care about inflation? Didn’t Yellen say that’s what keeping those awful poor people in line? It’s a pity that the only “-ism” the Dems don’t get upset about is “classism”.

This lib’s top issue is climate. Speak for yourself, Mr Rall.

The Dems have a LOT of issues they’re concerned about, republicons only concern is opposing anything and everything the Dems try to do.

Or, if you have to pay more, maybe you won’t get one.

Democrats care about the economy first, then ‘pro choice’. Inflation is currently at 3.2%.

Every Republican/conservative administration since 1929 has had a depression or recession, some had two. Republican/conservatives have proved beyond a reasonable doubt that they cannot govern, and cannot manage an economy.

Democrats recognize there is no one big issue, and works to fix as many as can be with corrupt Repubs obstructing progress as much as possible.

BTW, inflation is way down in the States and has been for quite awhile. For some reason corporate media has largely been ignoring that fact. As, have too many political comic strips.

Republicans should be concerned about inflation since trump started it with his trade war with China and then his poor response to the trump pandemic.

Democrats think abortion and all healthcare should be cheap if not free.

Kevin’s House of insurrection has literally done nothing. It is one of the least productive Houses in history. The Maga extremists have done nothing for the American people.

Ted, the guy who’s your featured comment should say something to you about what kind of “debate” you’re sparking.

Democrats care about inflation, but it’s not the top priority, especially since Yellen seems to be piloting the economy in to the “soft landing” so many claimed was going to be an implosion.

I suspect some Democrats are shying away from making the long overdue minimum wage increase a campaign issue, because it’s an obvious target for inflation hawks. Nice job undercutting your own priorities.

Honestly, women’s rights issues often seem to be unimportant to you. How much do you think a pregnant teenager who doesn’t want to become a mother is thinking about inflation? Is a woman in Texas thinking about inflation when she learns she’s pregnant with her abuser’s child?
