Elvi? Seems like there was a group of skydiving Elvis impersonators who called themselves the Flying Elvi.

Looks like the “skinny Elvises” have their own convention.

Yes, I believe “Elvi” would be the proper plural.

Back in the day when I was commuting, I would call my wife as I left work and announce “Elvis has left the building.” I still refer to myself this way for example today, “Elvis is going to mow the lawn.”

I’m going to go with Elvians, having accepted that Elvis is a place now, not a person.

There is a book series out there by Robert Asprin… called “Phule’s Company”. It is roughly a comic military science fiction novel series. Some of the characters are a bit strange. Such as the Space Legion troop’s chaplain. He quotes songs as gospel, dresses, looks, and tries to encourage others to look like Elvis. Reverend Jordan Ayres of the Church of The King.

He would be in this strip’s audience… or leading the service!

I’m guessing “elves,” pronounced elvays. That’s assuming I remember my high school Latin correctly. There is a quirk in 3rd declension nouns that makes my guess suspect.

He’s over-thinking it. It’s a proper noun, so a simple “Elvises” should suffice. Same as if I wanted to comment on the one-time popularity of the Sony Walkman. I would say, “I remember how the Walkmans were flying off the shelves.”
