WRONG. GOP is an elephant (OMG).

I am not so sure, Mike. Whatever it is that is lethal has not contaminated the Texas legislature. Their corrupt AG is strutting around today.

Seem to me the democrats are on life support too. The damage these two parties have done is immense and they both deserve extinction. It is beginning to look like Mike has drunk the poison Kool-Aid.

Can we just throw the dying GQP dinosaur into the nearest tar pit and put it out of our misery?

Dinosaurs are much too recent to represent the GQP. It might be more accurate to use trilobites instead. (no offense to trilobites intended)

Watching the self-immolation of the Republican Party brings great joy to my heart. My only hope is that they don’t burn down the whole country in the process.

I like that it’s a dinosaur and not an elephant. Since it’s not the conventional animal symbol for the party, the cartoonist has the excuse to label it “GOP.” And that transforms “GOP” into a verb to match the others: a dying dinosaur like this is likely to writhe, to convulse, to thrash, to gop . . .
