Seem to me the democrats are on life support too. The damage these two parties have done is immense and they both deserve extinction. It is beginning to look like Mike has drunk the poison Kool-Aid.
Watching the self-immolation of the Republican Party brings great joy to my heart. My only hope is that they don’t burn down the whole country in the process.
Yep, when the GOP dies out we’ll be left with a monopoly, open borders party that believes the world is going to end in a few decades and men can get pregnant.
More like the Repubs are a Wooly Mammoth, have stumbled into the LaBrea Tar Pits, and are struggling for their existence. We all know the eventual fate of this creature.
“There wasn’t any Republicans in Washington’s day. No Republicans, no Boll Weevil, no income tax, no cover charge, no disarmament conference, no luncheon clubs, no stop lights, no static, no head winds. My Lord, living in those days, who wouldn’t be great?”“The Democrats and the Republicans are equally corrupt where money is concerned. It’s only in the amount where the Republicans excel.”“It’s getting so if a man wants to stand well socially, he can’t afford to be seen with either the Democrats or the Republicans.”“Their greatest trait to recommend the Democrats is optimism and humor. You’ve got to be an optimist to be a Democrat, and you’ve got to be a humorist to stay one.”“There is something about a Republican that you can only stand him just so long; and on the other hand, there is something about a Democrat that you can’t stand him quite that long.”“Democrats never agree on anything, that’s why they’re Democrats. If they agreed with each other, they would be Republicans.”Will Rogers
I like that it’s a dinosaur and not an elephant. Since it’s not the conventional animal symbol for the party, the cartoonist has the excuse to label it “GOP.” And that transforms “GOP” into a verb to match the others: a dying dinosaur like this is likely to writhe, to convulse, to thrash, to gop . . .
I see that an array of suckers has fallen victim to the overwhelming urge to respond to yet another idiocy from Fossilized Misanthrope, thereby elevating its comment to “featured” status, where it’ll be the only one that 90% of the visitors to this strip will ever see.
We can only hope. I’ve watched the GOP for sixty some years become the party of lies.Tell me: how many racists have left GOP & become Democrats? Kist wonderin’

I am not so sure, Mike. Whatever it is that is lethal has not contaminated the Texas legislature. Their corrupt AG is strutting around today.

Can we just throw the dying GQP dinosaur into the nearest tar pit and put it out of our misery?
phritzg Premium Member 10 months ago
Dinosaurs are much too recent to represent the GQP. It might be more accurate to use trilobites instead. (no offense to trilobites intended)

Let’s just let it die.

It seems that it didn’t exactly die — just became a zombie. Mindless, violent, relentless and without scruples.

I believe that anyone who believes Democrats are anywhere near as harmful than Republicans , is nuts.

Of course, many of the GOP have morphed into an invertebrate species.

Sadly, I don’t think it is dying. I think it is bulking up. Anything else is wishful thinking.

Another imaginative cartoon there. You’ve run out of ideas long time before the dinosaurs went extinct.
