Wallace thinks he’s hearing Polka Sirens but calls them “mythical”. He should have said “supposedly mythical”.

We know the Brat Boat guy is not a Polka Siren himself – no feather in his hatband.

I love the Brat boat but why isn’t he docked? There just can’t be that many boaters who will go to him at this time of year. I agree with Dirty Dragon, walk up business on one side, float up on the other!

Now I have to drive down to the Pier and see if the Brat Boat is in.

This brought the Sam Adams Oktoberfest commercial to mind.

Not as alluring as the bagpipe sirens!!

Now I want a bratwurst.

Opening panel has Seagull swimming in the ocean. There is a large speech ballon saying “Wallace the Brave” and many musical notes within it. Will Henry’s name is spoken by a fish under the water.

A good brat would lure me in.

And speaking of brats, that reminds me of an item on the “Letterman” list of "Top Ten reasons to go see the movie ‘Bruno’ … " [my all-time favorite list from the show]

It’s too bad that GoComics won’t let us post links. I found a great picture of a Dead Leaf mantis in its threat pose that held up its arms in a perfect imitation of a large mouth, much the same shape as the creature pictured.

Especially if the monster (or hot dog stand) is playing Cleveland polka!
