Is it me or is today’s comic strip boring?

Ngl, I usually don’t subscribe to the thought that Artur is so innocently insensitive that it’s annoying, but… Dude. How can you not hear yourself? I know that’s the joke but 1. It’s been done a million times and 2. It’s just got an off feeling. Idk, Artur is too stupid here.

i liked this, the punchline is pretty stale though. this seems like a 2 week arc however, so I’m excited!

I feel like Artur KNOWS Nate hates him

Artur is a lot smarter that we realize. This was hilarious.

Well, at least he’s polite about crushing Nate’s dreams.

If Artur is such a genius, how is it that he hasn’t mastered English grammar yet and shows no improvement in his deplorable command of the language? Please don’t misinterpret my comment – English isn’t my first language either (I’m in exactly the same boat as Artur, actually), so I’m not being in any way xenophobic. It’s just that you’d think he’d be a bit better at picking up the language if he’s so mighty intelligent and capable.

Nate and Arthur are exactly the same.

Guys, come on, we all know why Artur’s character has become so rude over the years. It’s to torment Nate. You don’t see him being this stupidly blunt to anyone other than Nate.Part of this comic’s problems over the years is because LP, for some reason, goes out of his way to make Nate’s life as miserable as possible, and in order to do that almost every other character got their personalities flanderized to be ruder and meaner or flattened to just be a snark or rolling their eyes at Nate and thats it

Okay, I don’t like how Artur is acting here. He’s pointing out the obvious, and he’s trying to be all nice, being like “oh, sorry, I already know I’m gonna win”. The fact that you even pointed that out that you’re gonna win is pretty selfish. Failed attempt at being selfless.

Peirce, were you trying to make him selfless here, because you failed. Or has he suddenly become against Nate?

Strip rating: 2/10 This isn’t the first time he’s acted like this. Does he listen to himself?

…he’s humble in one sort of way, not so humble in another…….my guess is neither of ‘em takes first prize when the judging’s done…….

Artur, you’re a good ’lil guy and all, but, some years ago, you asked Nate (right to his face…) “Why do you hate me?”….perhaps your P4 remark today throws some light on the subject?

6/10, really, Artur? You might lose to Nate or someone else. LIKE………….. DAPHNE! What if she ends up winning and next week Nate and Daphne make a comic together?

Artur needs better shtick than just being Tommy Tactless.

Artur is a good kid, but this is the side of him I outright dislike. The side that’s too tactless to realize that he’s making Nate feel like literal crap on an emotional level

I will take a wild guess on what happens at the end: Is what Artur says.Artur wins, Nate loses. Duh. It’s like what Nate says in the book Big Nate on a Roll, “I already know the lesson; Artur always wins!” So, I would be surprised if Nate wins, not Artur. That’s what happens in every single strip with Nate and Artur competing.

ATP Big Nate isn’t even funny anymore (other than a few strips)it’s just sad all it’s showing us is that Nate’s environment sucks and everyone he interacts with hates each otherAs we all know it’s a running gag for Artur to be clueless and stuff but all it’s showing us today is that Artur isn’t aware he makes Nate feel like crap and if he does know he doesn’t really feel sympathetic about it.

At this point Artur is getting very passive-aggressive. There is no way he does not realize how rude that statement is.

Over and over. I would love to see Nate handle this in a mature manner, expect to lose and then win first prize, all humble and shocked. It could still be funny, and a bit refreshing.
