Last week was the first time I’ve seen something in a store, then bought it on the Internet. Costco had KitchenAid stand mixers on sale, but I wanted to see the manual. Went to the KitchenAid site and it turned out the model was being discontinued! But, they had an even better price, more colors and free shipping.
One of the attractions of shopping at a store was being able to hold the item and try it out. Now with those blasted hard-plastic packages, you can’t even do that.

Might save footwear, at least.

I recently purchased a book from a small local store when it turned out that retail was a better price than Amazon had. A rare and wonderful occasion.

No. Shopping can’t be fun.

Some people love browsing in a store.

I go to the local Walmart to shop because I can also get exercise in a heated or air conditioned environment while doing my shopping.

with so much shop lifting going on, we might loose the choice of going to the store to browse

Actually I used to be a “store shopper”.. but that was before Amazon… which now makes returns so easy, and cost free!

If I need something from Best Buy, I’ll always check the website first. Often the price is cheaper online, but the store will honor the online price.
