My comment yesterday to Jason mentioned cat scenarios:
âJJ loves featuring Luddie but doesnât want to make his work âanother cat comicâ I believe were his words. He limits his forays to one or two a week and every fourth or fifth Sunday.â
Making me look like I knew something unless of course Luddie shows up big again on Saturday and makes it three.
Did Luddie touch it? If not, why is Arlo just throwing it away?
My wife told me this story of her mom and dad when she was growing up: they had a mouse in the basement, so her dad got a trap. He got some peanut butter on a knife to use as bait. Before he could dab it on, her mom said not to waste peanut butter on a mouse. He went to wipe it back into the jar, but she shouted, âdonât be disgusting â thatâs mouse food, put it in the trash!â
Perhaps itâs just me, but the first time any pet I owned who claims to be a carnivore such as Ludwig, Garfield, Snoopy, Otto, or even Dino, and they turn their nose up to ribeye steak I bring home from the restaurant, that would be the very last time such a gesture would be proffered!
I never will forget the time my wife came is with a to go plate of salmon and sat it on the counter. Came back and the cat had opened the container and was eating away at the salmon.
I understand using styrofoam boxes for takeout, but be sure and check if your municipal recycling program includes it. I live in SW Michigan and have to drive to Elkhart, IN, with my styrofoam containers (food boxes, trays, medical chill chests, etc.).

Seems like Luddie wouldâve scarfed down that food before Arlo could even begin his explanation.

Donât throw those leftovers away. Itâs ribeye. If the cat wonât eat it, then the catâs owner should.
Lucy Rudy over 1 year ago
I still ask for a doggie bag. I donât have a dog and nobody has ever questioned my request.

Ludwig knows!
c001 over 1 year ago
I thought it was invented in the US. Or is it outdated/obsolete?
AnneFackler over 1 year ago
Luddie only eats leftovers from a âkitty bagâ.
uhohlol over 1 year ago
Not very often I donât finish a ribeye.
deblee77 over 1 year ago
He should have said a âkitty bagâ just for you.
cracker65 over 1 year ago
My cat would jump on that line a hungry lion. She begs for food when we eat. So do our dogs.
bobpeters61 over 1 year ago
He should have called a kitty bag. Luddie would never know.

Around here a âto-goâ box is getting standard.

A dog would have shown true appreciation.

Ludwig, what is the matter with you??
royq27 over 1 year ago
I do not believe there is a cat on earth that would not eat ribeye, no matter the packaging.
poppacapsmokeblower over 1 year ago
I ask for a to-go box. Do you still ask for a doggie bag?
MontanaPhil50 over 1 year ago
Ludwig probably has more class than to eat out of styrofoam

My cats eat fish heads when my husband has a bit of good luck at the river. They would straight up mug us for leftover steak.
trainnut1956 over 1 year ago
The cat will only eat leftovers if they are on your plate.

Will you put the rest of my meal in the an Aunt Sally Mae bag?"
âYou mean a doggy bag?â
âNo way a dog gets this; itâs too good my aunt Sally Mae will love it.â
The next evening we went back and brought her with us. Everyone there knew her name.

Seriously, Arlo? With what ribeye costs, you donât throw it away.

What is this âLeftoverâ ribeye that you speak of?
Teto85 Premium Member over 1 year ago
Our critters donât get human food. They get good pet food.. Tonight it was cold roast chicken with duck heart toppers and a taste of salmon.
JessieRandySmithJr. over 1 year ago
People donât even pretend leftovers are for animals anymore. Just a small box please (or if you are really in the know, a âclamshellâ box.
