Semantics. Gus is not meddling if Arlo asks him to meddle.

Arlo is going to get the chance to test Gus’ meddle.

I still say moving from a house to a condo is a HUGE CHANGE in your life. Your yard is a nice buffer instead of sharing walls, ceiling or floors. Could hear their arguments, TV too loud etc. Also, moving to a new location, need to find new doctors, dentists, mechanics, barbers and the rest.

Plus don’t get me started on HOAs…

I like Gus…he’s a good guy.

The latest issue in condo living, for those who haven’t been keeping up (i.e., don’t live in condos), is that in various States of the Union, the neighbor’s cannabis smoke is annoying and there’s nothing you can do about it.

Gus really wants to help with advice.

I tried a townhouse when I was in my twenties, even had a little backyard for a garden, but I never really owned it, had to pay HOA fees for life, no thank you, now I have 16 Acres in the middle of a National Forest and I even own the mineral rights, I am a property owner, something someone who pays an HOA can never be.

Everyone needs an “Ole Gus” in their life!

Seems like Arlo would ask Gus HOW he could assist. That would be my question.

Stand alone condos….as soon as she says we can movie we are moving….I am so done with maintenance!

He’s telling you something without telling you something…..

He may just wear Arlo down with his nonmeddling.

Is Gus alluding to giving/selling the condo to them, or maybe even financial assistance? Either way, he’s a great guy.

Why are they wanting to move to the coastal area, with climate change causing ever more severe hurricanes?

Living near your children and grandchildren is a pretty strong incentive. The other stuff will work out if you want it to.

Fifty plus years here. Every 10 or so years the house gets refreshed: paint, curtains and maybe a new recliner for “the man of the house.” It’s better than moving … especially to a condo.

This arc is fantastic.

Gus is so wise. His daughter is a master meddler.
