He hasn’t finished smelling that bunch.

Our dog is so small, we used to have to shovel a path to the tree for him in the snow. We kind of got into shoveling long and complex paths for him to several different trees. Wasn’t strictly necessary, but he seemed to enjoy it.

I know it’s not helping! I’m trying to get you to go back in the house with me. My feet are cold.

The pet was not trying to help and it looks like you are just about finished anyway.

He claimed it, it’s his now.

Are you digging up some of the snow he buried a bone in? Maybe that’s why he’s reacting that way…

We used to have a husky mix that did exactly that.

My dog used to do the same and bark continuously unless I threw the snow at him. When I changed to the snowblower he would try to catch all of the snow shooting out of the chute. Crazy dog!

Our various GSDs have never “helped”…but they’ve all been great at “Halping” with their goofy non-productive antics.

Homesick now.

I’ve always had big dogs, so never had to shovel for them ……. but was interesting how they would make paths through the snow and very rarely deviated from them, the whole winter, even after a blizzard they would use the same paths ….. :)

Ours does that to the vacuum cleaner wand.
