Very true. I have a supply, right beside my stash of plastic bags.

They’re fun to roll down the stree in…until you get hit by a car.

I might need one just like this, in 2045.

The best boxes for storage are empty 5000-sheet copy paper boxes. Their consistent size and colors make them nearly decorative (it’s sad, I know).

Especially if you have a cat or cats.

You don’t have to decide about boxes, the cat(s) will decide for you. If you do decide to get rid of it, make sure there isn’t a cat in it first. You can get rid of it only after you pry it from your kitty’s cold dead paws.

Auntie is jealous of Red and Rover.

I have a hard time putting a really good box in the recycle bin.

Military people move all the time. We knew we had left the service when we got rid of the boxes most of our stuff came in.

I do keep several wine boxes on hand so I can take the empties to the glass recycling place. :)

And the slightly used, still good bubble wrap!

I have four in my living room that I need to break down and store.

I could have opened my own box store after the pandemic if I had saved all my delivery boxes. I’d just have to wipe THAT smile off of them!

…..symptom of a hoarder!!!!!!!!!

I may be a hoarder, but when I needed to mail a Christmas package to my daughter I just went to the garage and got an appropriate sized box. And grabbed a little bubble wrap too.

I just slit and fold them, then in the trash they go. Another box will appear in a few days.

Well… I have cats..

Aunty, for an adult there is no debate. It is simple, take box cutter, cut tape holding bottom of box together, fold box flat, store in a neat pile of boxes in an out of the way place. If you need a box, find the one you want, open the box and tape the bottom back together. We have the technology.

I’ll admit it, and packing material. I’d rather reuse things then throw them away. I’ve been using the same paper bag for a couple of months now.

You save bubble wrap for the grandkids — called “poppies.”

I never met a box that wasn’t good, for holding something…

I’ll admit I keep quite a few, but I do flatten most of them so they don’t take up much room. If I need them, I can always use some packing tape to get them back into shape.

My cats get the boxes. When they are done with them I gracefully put them into recycling.

My father kept a supply of empty cardboard boxes in what had been “my room” when I still lived with my parents. My dad was a bit of a packrat; my mother was not. So when he wasn’t paying attention, she would put unused boxes in the trash in hopes that they would be taken away before my father realized what was going on. Most of the time she was successful!

Guilty!

i am required to keep boxes for a week or two, my cats would not allow me to recycle one before its time! even if it is a bad box
