Well, you THOUGHT about him, Aunty, and, really, it’s the thought that counts, right? The rest of this gift-giving hype is just for the consumer economy. . .fa la la la la and all that !
At age 77, be the first Christmas without my wife who passed in March since we married. It seems unreal still. I still bought a lot of gifts that I can give out at various Rest Homesin her memory. Cheer up the forgotten ones.

I am a difficult person to buy presents for.
My wife asks me what I want and I tell her I don’t need anything. She then comes back and says “I didn’t ask what you need, I asked what you want.”
On a good year, it’s either socks or underwear.

Her husband gets everything she’ll let him have. That pool table for the basement? Not important to her.

She’s the gift that keeps on giving, unfortunately.

We didn’t buy for each other for Chrustmas because we bought for each other throughout the year. Instead we concentrated on family and others.

I think most husbands would be/are fine with that as long as you show them that you love them and respect them.
