My wife and I both won each other over, at least that’s what she keeps telling me. I won her over with a hand drawn card, a “before I met you” profile, showing a guy with thin legs and arms, and a frown on his face, to an “after I met you” profile, big smile, muscular arms, and underneath the shorts, something more than shorts. The friends she was rooming with at the time told her, “Don’t marry him, he’s a perv.” I was pleasantly surprised to find out after we married that I wasn’t the only perv in the family. :^)
In all seriousness, I recall reading an article that said while physical attraction is what gets you the first date, it’s how you make you partner feel that’s more likely to lead to a long term relationship or marriage. I recognize that’s rather obvious, but it’s still nice to think about.
For me, it wasn’t a matter of “winning over”. I was introduced to my husband by a mutual friend. I saw him & had this quiet knowledge, like something was obvious. You know, “The sky is blue…the grass is green…I will marry him.” We married 3 years later & celebrated our 38th anniversary this past September.
Ouch that bites and especially when Wanda agrees. Although Wanda must not have been too hard to catch since they have three kids. Maybe the nose was a positive after all (wink, wink).
Wanda’s nose is not so small, either. I’ve always looked at them as cartoon exaggeration, like the size of Zoe’s head and Hammie’s ears. Many comic strip characters have exaggerated features, including noses, heads, arms, feet, waistline, etc.
I’ve always considered Darryl’s nose as just a comic strip exaggeration. Nobody in the strip actually looks like a normal human being. Take a look at Wanda’s and Zoe’s noses. Have you ever seen the like of either nose on a real human?

Zoe I must agree. That nose is kind of hard to overlook.

Someone needs to learn how genetics work, especially when they clearly take after their father.

You’d like to have a nose like that full of nickels. (see: The Bank Dick)

It’s as plain as the nose on your face, Darryl.

My rule of thumb for any turn-based game: when someone asks whose turn it is, it is almost always their own turn
