Nothin’ like tradition!

My Janis has several ornaments she fancies to the point that only she knows where they are kept between each Christmas.

We have so many that there isn’t space on the tree for them all. They all have a history, just not sure about some. They go back farther than we can remember.

Popsicle stick ornaments are cherished forever.

A show of interest would help.

Wifey and I both reminisce while decorating the tree. It’s been a long time since we’ve looked up at the tree from the vantage point of the floor.

My wife and I have ornaments we have accumulated from various places around the world and it is a stroll down memory lane when we decorated the tree.

It could be she’s reaching the point where she cannot remember. Scary.

You must have “commentary” turned off.

Ah, those little holiday traditions that become routine, but you never get tired of, and miss so much when they are gone.

Arlo is about as romantic as a yule log.

13 days till it is OVER

My mom gave us kids a special ornament every year for 40 years until she passed. Now that she’s gone, they’re even more special.

For months, I have been checking the arloandjanisDOTcom website every day. It has been a mere maintenance page until today—and what Mr. Johnson drew is hilarious . .

Janis foiled his thought…..again!

We have a bunch of Hallmark ornaments collected through the years. The boxes all have the years on them so knowing their history is easy.

Christmas special reruns. Not only on TV.

Read in AARP News this morning how the former editor of Mad tells his daughter the history of each ornament every year in hopes she’ll remember and tell her future children.

Not to be a wet blanket but when I became a widower it took the snap, crackle, pop out of my holiday festiveness.

Awww. He miss her old tales.
