Given the second guessing going on for a number of referees I’m glad, but surprised, his confidence is growing with each game. He’s got a million pairs of eyes watching him looking for something to complain about.

Today’s “JumpStart” should say “special guest appearance by Joe”…

A reminder we are all just people.

Sweet.

Reading between the lines: I’m going to say Clarence was nice to this guy at some point, obviously without even realizing it, and made such a difference it changed the trajectory of Mike’s life.

Even cooler to realize we all have the power to do the same.

We encounter lots of people in our lives, so we ain’t gonna remember all of them.

The Referee is the MIKE. Hut! Hut!

I wonder how many people were influenced in a good way by someone they met or forgot about? I know we all talk about teachers, but there are people like the librarian who taught you about the Dewey system, or the equipment manager at the local gym….so many people that we should be thankful for because they were simply there being decent human beings.

I didn’t expect that many people to show up for a flag football game!

Refs are people, too! Oh, and just try doing anything like that job — whew, not so easy as it looks from the sidelines!
