I was once leaving for work, and my son’s cat was in the front yard. When I got in the car, she ran to the backyard. As I backed up, I looked up to the top of our weeping willow tree, and there was the cat, a 150 feet up, sitting on a swaying branch, watching me leave.
One of my cats has had the zoomies since I put up the Christmas tree. She lurks under it and suddenly there is a burst of clanking Christmas ornaments and she is gone. Where? who knows.
Animals are amazing. I was cycling on a rural road doing I’ll say 30 to 35km/h. I went past a farm and in the driveway was a border collie sleeping under an old pickup truck. Well, I didn’t have a stop watch, but in less time than it takes to peel a banana, that dog was right beside me…

That’s CATastrophic for his poor observations!

Yeah. And they practice up for that by sleeping 18 hours / day.

We could to that just as easily if we had four legs and ultra-bendy spines.

Yeah, but what’s their marathon time like? They’re ambush predators, we’re persistence hunters.

Cat’s Egyptian ancestors were predators.

Cats are strong, agile, ambush predators.
Especially at about 3 in the morning.

I recall hearing McLaren racing cars bragging about being able to do 0 to 60 in 5 seconds. Foo. My cats can do that in no more than 2.

Cats are simply superior. Then again, If I slept all day maybe I could leap tall buildings in a single bound.

My neighbors have had several cat-sized dogs. Also cat-sized cats. They’re huge close up.

I think that only works if the stairs are carpeted.

Cats are cool. That’s why they call them cats.
