Well that would be a very creative movie after all.

I’m pretty sure that M. Night Shyamalan already made that movie. More than once, if I’m not mistaken.

Back up a little – the truly scary part comes when the concession stand says “we’re all out of butter flavoring for the popcorn..” Cue the spooky music!

In a Henry James story, the main character is convinced that a terrible fate awaits him “like a beast in the jungle,” so he avoids getting close to anyone, lest they should share his terrible fate. Only at the end of his life does he realize that the terrible fate was simply that he never let himself get close to anyone. (Dimly remembered after 50 years.)

I love that in Petey’s fantasy he is the only one in the movie theater.
