I hope you all love this strip, wherein a 100-plus year old fell on a metal grating and pavement just days ago, and now is SUPER DUPER COMFY MAN! Who then spends 3 days on abusing service dogs. WHY IS THIS FUNNY?

Hahaha, it’s funny because she’s making a “joke” about how old and near to dying he is! That’s the kind of “subtle” “irony” that keeps folks coming back! Where’s that Pulitzer Committee?

Who says “fit as a fiddle”? Is this 1928? Are we to understand that that Crank also has—THE BEE’S KNEES? Do his cats wear pajamas? My dead grandparents want to know! (trust me, they’re still full of Moxie)

No one who abuses animals is a ‘fit’ person. She should have reported him to the Humane Society…

The rest of the saying is “and thin in the middle” but left off for obvious reasons.

There are some very good old fiddles – some of them are musical instruments.

The oldest are the best, and most expensive.

Some old fiddles are worth a fortune. Others, like Ed, are worth….

Excuse me, young lady, but a well-made old fiddle is better than a new one.

She’s really good. Totally rehabilitated his whatever problem in a day or two. And then was a total a-hole to him at the end. Who says Ed doesn’t influence the younger members of society?
