Enjoy yourself Mr. Brutus. It’s moments like these that love grows and memories are made. I really love seafood. Time I get through eating and paying the bill – I’m hungry. Cannot afford the astronomical prices of Lobster with all the trimming. Before my wife passed, I would spurge for her/our special occasions. Maybe it’s guilt but I feel like I am eating the electric bill payment now. What the heck – lets eat another few kilowatts.
No reason that you can’t order two of the same appetizers. The restaurant should be flattered as should the waiter whose tip will reflect the customers’ appreciation. Maybe an appetizer and dessert is all they wanted.Naaaa. They are hungry and want it all. Remember. The customer is always right……
Love how Brutus asked that. Monsieur Garcon should look at them and realize when Brutus said “each” he meant what he said. To which Monsieur Garcon might ask, “and would monsieur et madame wish to super-size those?” : )
Brutus’ order had me thinking two towers. But, I can see how the waiter thought one was the proper understanding. However, the waiter should realize that when two fat folks go to a restaurant, they’re not dieting.
I’m gluten-intolerant, so I can never have any of my hubby’s (who’s not) dessert, but always offer some of mine to him. Being a gentleman, he always declines.
My wife and I do the same at On The Border…we each order the Sampler Platter. I eat all of mine, she eats half of hers and takes the rest home for later.

It’s the only way Brutus will get even a taste of it.

I don’t think this classy restaurant is an “all you can eat”.

We’ve been in a couple of places that assume we’re going to share dessert. Excuse me?! We’re talking chocolate here. No shares.

My classiest eatery was an In-N-Out burger, the server wasn’t dressed so nice

We’re drinking water and skipping the entrees and dessert. And tipping 10%.

Now that’s my idea of seafood. My wife doesn’t like it, so I could have it all to myself.

I suppose they would each like their own bottle of wine too.

Reminds me of a line from Cheers when Norm takes Woody to the Hungry Heifer and orders the Feeding Frenzy For Two, then asks what Woody is ordering.

Wouldn’t it be up to the patrons to decide how much they eat? LOL

The seafood tower of delights would BE my dinner. Sounds excellent.

The waiter has clearly underestimated their power of consumption.
