Sadly the 14th Amendment is just vague enough that the present Supreme Court will be able to allow Trump on the ballot. Vote wisely.

We are a Nation of Laws, and have bragged about that for decades, particularly on the Republican/conservative side of the aisle. We’ve come to know that they only meant it when they agree with the law. The 14th Amendment is clear, and as the Colorado Supreme Court found, tRump admitted to insurrection with his own words. tRump should be barred from running for office. But the best scenario would be that tRump run and suffer the worst election loss in history, one that can’t be denied. tRump would deny it anyway, but at that result only the perpetually insignificant would still support him.

Don’t forget “We can’t enforce the rules, because what if someone abuses enforcement of the rules?”

Removing someone from a ballot over something that never occurred is wrong. Should we remove people from the ballot who encouraged buildings to be burned down and then bailed them out?
