Just for starters, a 1% mortality rate sounds like nothing much, but that’s 330,000 Americans… and that’s not even a third of those that actually died. And China, when the pandemic started, did the opposite of what the US did and overreacted, actually locking people in their apartments. A virus that kills Americans but also kills lots of their own people doesn’t sound like such a great weapon.

Yes, the new Chinese-manufactured Covid variant is a “great weapon”, because Xi’s government cares less about human life in his own country than he does about defeating his perceived foes overseas.
