Standard behavior to really like a movie that brings to the screen an original take on an old concept. Also standard to gauge sequels against the original and find them somehow less.

I jumped off the wagon when they introduced Ewoks. Regained interest in later films. More recently appreciated Rogue One as a prequel. That one worked.

I like both Star Wars and Star Trek. Does that make me weird?

I never saw the original Star Wars until it had been out about 20 years, and then I really didn’t see what all the hype was about.

I might have laughed at that if I had any idea what they were talking about.

So true. It’s this truth that has made me much less of a Star Wars fan.

The common statement is “no one hates Star Wars more than a Star Wars fan.” They pick apart all of the episodes, comparing everything against the original trilogy, and finding them wanting.

It’s easier for people to believe that they have a ‘dark side’ than a sin nature. ◑﹏◐

Most importantly, I heard Princess Leia died … and her mom, next day. Criminently!

Only hating 1/2 is a bit low. There’s a LOT of hate of Star Wars stuff by Star Wars fans.

I just got off Reddit, and holy crap is this accurate.

I can’t believe this joke is so vague that some of us can’t get it. I guess a lifetime of reading comics isn’t paying off at 72…
