The GF makes soup the hard way, individual ingredients and lots of unnecessary dishes to clean. When I don’t use a can, it’s a brick of noodles with frozen mixed veggies added. Works for me.
And the Piedmont Phillies tee, that’s a nice touch as well. There’s gotta be a story here… Obviously, a minor league baseball squad, likely single A, no longer around, and their home field was probably somewhere in the, uh, upper midwest, say, Sheboygan! (Am I close?) It’s all definitely a Bob thing that wouldn’t be understood by many.
Brown the ground beef in a 2qt pot, add a cup of water, one packet of Lowries instant beef gravy powder, stir, add a tsp of salt, bring to a boil, remove from heat, add 1 cup of Minute Rice and a pat of butter, cover and wait 5 minutes. Serve with a wedge salad (a chunk of ice-berg lettuce). This got me through college.
Bob’s recipe resembles mine. Except for the Heinz beans. I also add BBQ and spaguetti sauces with a touch of cooking wine. I also simmer the mix in low fire while listening to some classic rock in my shorts…
I doctor ramen. I make it with broth or low end demi-glaze. Sometimes I add ginger and soy sauce. Then come frozen vegetables and frozen win ton and or meatballs. Now and then some sausage. 5 minutes in the microwave then add bleu or Parmesan cheese and maybe some cilantro. Tip from the experts: Crumble the ramen before cooking. Then you can eat it with a spoon.

Hey – not fair. I cook in my pajamas. Stripping down like that gets hair in everything.

No fair! They should have told Iron Chef it was a “make something to eat over the sink in your underwear” competition.

What did Moammar Khadafy have to do with any of this?!

I must admit that I would find the majority of dishes prepared on those food shows to be inedible.

I never would have imagined Bob having such hairy legs.
Why would anyone imagine that?
