I was watching a weather reporter out in a storm saying how horrible it was and stay home. While he was doing the report, dozens of people were walking by behind him waving at the camera. It was hilarious.
Back when we were stationed at Fort Ord we had a neighbor who got home promptly at 5pm every day to walk his two cats on a leash. Each cat had his own leash, one on each side, and they had a routine. You could set your watch by them. All the way around the block, and then let loose in the yard.
Once again we realize that this is not true to reality: according to my extensive research, schools in RI are closed all week this week for “winter recess.”

I’ve imagined it and now I can’t unimagine it.
The angular figure on the far right in panel 2 looks like Mr. ZIP.

Give Spud a $100 bill, he’d whine because it wasn’t five $20’s.

I hear this all the time whenever someone from down south like California or Texas comes up to visit my native Idaho during the winter.
It’s admittedly kind of hard NOT to scoff at those people. :P
