Surprised Hammie bothered to ask rather than just drag a step ladder out into the yard or cobble something together. Even one of Wanda’s good chairs would work.
It’s usually raining with strong winds this time of year here but the weather has been sunny and cold.
There was supposed to be snow here yesterday and some people got tricked by the sunshine, left for
work in a rush without looking at the weather online. One such person, a lovely young woman I spoke to at the bus stop on my way home from a cleaning job, was wearing a sweater! No scarf, hat or gloves either. Poor darling.
Can’t fault a kid for wanting to play in a puddle. As kids, we always sought out the biggest, deepest one, added to it, drained it from playing so long and extremely, and dared to defy gravity and the acceptance of Mom’s guaranteed unimpressed-ness when we got home.
Where we live at we had at 3 a.m. little rain, we need more and another rain coming. Not enough as Hammie wants a high diving board. Our back yard will have a small pond then rain quits starts drying out.I be doing what dad does read a book, me I am reading ebook on tablet, next paperback.

I can see it now. A high dive with just sand beneath it.

There was one Sunday strip where mud was deep enough to be up to Hammie’s neck was covering pretty much the whole back yard.

I remember those days. There was a huge mud puddle we played in as kids.

It’s been raining so many days where I live, I have two huge pools of water in my backyard.

I love how appropriately dreary the first two panels look.

Not the Hamster’s usual ’It’s easier to ask forgiveness than permission’ approach.

Depends on what? I would think that’s always going to be a bad idea.

Oh be serious now, this is Hammie asking. He just wants a higher perch to pee from.
