When you are young, there is some exact moment after which you get to make all the decisions about your life. When you are older, there is some exact moment when you no longer get to make all of the decisions about your life. I’m wondering if the length of time from birth to the first moment is exactly the same as the length of time from the second moment to death.
Since Gus owns the condo: case closed. Possession (ownership) is 9 points of the law. BTW what were Gus’ ailments that caused his move in the first place?

I can commiserate with Gus. Several quotes tie living together with laughing. My favorite ends with “Laugh often”

There’s living, and there’s waiting to die.

If he’s happy he’ll live longer. Let him move.

Death is inevitable, let him live his life the way he wants. If it means an earlier grave, so be it, at least he would have gone on his terms.

I can guarantee that the boredom is not improving his health. If he’s better, it’s in spite of it, not because of it.
