And at that point, I quickly grab the lightbulb before I forget why I came into the room.
Sometimes it takes a little bit of time and work to untangle the cord of thoughts in your mind before you are able to see the light.
That’s what my brain is like many a morning.
The power is now on.
Horace just knew, if he put his mind to it, he would get a grand idea…

This reminds me of my state-of-confusion before my morning coffee.
well now, who knew that all of that was just a long electric cord. :J
Well, it coulda been a fish…! Perhaps an electric eel…?
Eventually a good thought will come, Horace.
This is actually a pretty accurate portrayal of coming up with ideas, or at least how it feels like sometimes.
That’s exactly how it works sometimes.
Good thing he didn’t have an idea about Christmas. That would be a worse tangle with more bulbs.
If the thought balloon had been a different color, the soundtrack for this strip could have been “Tangled Up in Blue.”
You mean there is actually an end to all that?? Haven’t gotten there yet!
