Yep. Upper Illinois, out by the (Mighty) Fox River, we have been told to expect 71° today. Of course, our sole, only, lone month that is just not capable of reaching (and sometimes maintaining) said 70° ( or more) temperature, is January. But, we’re also dropping back to highs in the 40’s to 50’s range tomorrow & onward.
As a teacher, I would chalk write the number days left in the Semester. After Spring break I would write the number of days until the start of school in the fall. Groaning ensued.

Speaking of “70,” Philadelphia will hit that temperature a couple of days this week. That’s normal for the first or second week in May!

I’ll never forget a math test in college. For some reason my brain just froze up and refused to work at all. What a nightmare come true!

I once fell asleep during the first half of a two-part math test in high school.

Dexter has shown a number of times that he’s actually quite smart. Like Calvin and Caulfield, he doesn’t like working inside the school box.

I’ve known a few people like that. Ask them a question and you’ll get accurate chapter and verse. Ask them a specific math question and look out.

Aren’t snow days added to the end of the school year?
