All that effort and barely a foot out of the water.

Don’t worry little guy, it will all happen and then descendants will trash your old habitat to the point that you’d not want to live there either.

If you think evolving is crap, try living through climate change, politics and media coverage….UGH! ☹️☹️☹️

I feel the same way about getting old.

If you think that he’s looking very far into the future (or that it’s just plain anachronistic) because it will be a long time after this until birds evolve, consider that it will be even longer before the derisive expression “for the birds” will come into being.
