Boris seems like a nice man, but he’s still planning to kidnap Warbucks later. There’s something a bit “off” about his desk and the items on it, but the figure drawing is excellent. Buildings and furniture are more difficult. It just happens that I’ve been reading a book about how to draw perspective for the last hour.
This guy looks like he could break the Hulk in two, or die trying. Does he really believe such nice cheerful family types would do crooky acts ? Seems that years ago hired help was pretty mean itself; Sawtooth and Abner come to mind, even Doubleup, who shows some kindness to Blaze Rize.
I’m guessing now the strip which appeared back on March 2, showing Harold, Winifred, & a newborn Annie, story-wise actually takes place after the events of this week, & Sirob’s first attempt at kidnapping Warbucks while Winifred is still expecting. A little confusing at first, but, to be fair to Mike, now seems like a good attempt at striking an ominous note of foreshadowing.
The Boris of the Mike Curtis La-La Land might believe that crock but the real world Boris’ would slit your sack and thread your leg through it for telling a whopper like that .
Change that to “any minute now”, from what I’m seeing.
I’m woolgathering about the dangers of undercover work. When Lee Ebony was undercover with Mr.Bribery, she probably saw a lot of things that turned her stomach, but she didn’t dare open her mouth.
Moments later, she boards a convenient TARDIS and has Annie on Gloopulous 4! She then remains there as queen of the Acorn People. She is subsequently overthrown during the generations-long Squirrel Invasion Wars. Annie is shot to Earth aboard a hypersonic time-traveiling Tilt-A-Whirl and is adopted by the Kent family.
So after insisting that Tracy wouldn’t be a problem, Harold says Tracy foiled the plan. And it took over 12 hours to let Boris know.
On the plus side, it’s nice to see that Boris Criminal Enterprises has a nice Pregnancy Leave Program. I bet the Grays would’ve named the kid “Borrie” (for more than one reason).
1-HAROLD: So, in spite of our assurances, Tracy was a bit of a problem after all, Boris…
2-…and after he arrested your driver for illegal parking because, frankly, he wasn’t doing anything illegal at the time…
3-…we went home and went to bed. BORIS: SOLID THINKING! SAY, why don’t you get on down to the hospital and get that labor induced, Winnie! I need smart henchmen like you two on the job!
WINNIE:GUSH! Thanks Boris! HAROLD! Just jump on my stomach! We’ll get this thing out right now! Boris needs us!
@Neil Wick – Just curious Neil, who reads a book for an hour about how to draw perspectives? Are you an art student? You say buildings and furniture are difficult to draw. But further, you feel the figure drawings are fine, I guess that includes the verypregnant Winifred. I have always appreciated your knowledge on this cartoon. Nowto be honest…..I am confused and I don’t know why?

Sirob’s tender fatherly side seems to be coming out along with a smile he’s giving to Winnie while discussing Fetus Annie…

Sirob’s liberal maternity leave policy is a major selling point when trying to recruit agents!

“You’re still pregnant? I thought I heard a couple weeks ago that you already had the baby!”
“That was a miscommunication.”
