Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your

So, today, we are back to the hotel room where Warbucks is telling the story. The surprise to me is that it sounds like Boris Sirob is still a kidnapping threat to Warbucks in the present day. That may be the reason that Tracy is there listening to these stories and may be a current case coming up.
Wait, last week Tracy broke up a kidnapping attempt he knew Sirob was behind, & now heâs asking questions like he has no idea who Sirob is? Does Mike think weâ be so blown away by the concept of a retconned Annie origin story that featured Tracy we wouldnât care about minor details like a coherent story?
How does Warbucks know Boris is after him, without knowing anything else? Well, the FBI could have told him. How does the FBI know Boris (along with his two, now one henchmen) is after Warbucks â without knowing anything of where the plot originated? If this is a national threat that required two agents assigned to protect Warbucks why is the FBI assigning a city cop to protect Warbucks after pulling an agent off for maternity leave? Why assign an agent who is nine months pregnant to what you believe is a dangerous assignment?
If the Grays are off the case, how are they going to both by killed by Boris?
A: They will be killed deliberately by Boris in revenge for the arrest of henchman #1.
B: They will be run down as Boris flees from Tracy.
C: They will be trampled by an escaped rhinoceros on a trip to the zoo (which has nothing to do with the Boris plot).
And, will we get a rational explanation for how Annie ends up in the orphanage and becomes a ward of Oliver?
I like the fact that Warbucks is smoking a cigar. Heâs immortal, so the health dangers donât worry him. (I mean, he has to be 150 years old by now.)
I need to start communicating with the colorist more. That first panel has Tracy wearing a yellow suit instead of black. I wish Shane would do the dailies as well.
Weâre still in âthe pastâ,apparently THE SIAM is one of those golden oldie hotels like Blackstone and Palmer House that has stood the test of time.
Meanwhile,Warbucks brings out the heavy guns and sics Flophouse Bill on SirobâŚ..
1-DT: I think you need Around The Clock Protection in case someone else tries to park illegally in front of the Siam. Or, you know, if you have another bout of The Kallikaks âŚ
2-DADDY-O: So you want to assign a squad of cops to guard me? Excellent! Letâs use Lee and Liz and Iâll create French Maid outfits as disguises but there wonât be enough material to hide a gun â OH!!! Maybe their garters could hold a small one!drools with the thought
3-DT: No. I was thinking more about you hooking me up with an apartment here â so Iâd be close. But, ya know, not too close. Top floor maybe. DADDY-O: THE PENTHOUSE?!?! DT: Oh. Is that what they call it? Yeah. That could work. Tracy smiles at his âclever planâ
The first panel drawing of Dick Tracy is great. He looks like a dude for a change. CharlesEttinger, I was a doubter butâŚ.the wise General saidâŚgive the guy a chance. He was right!Hand salute Sir!
OT FROTHING AT THE MOUTH: I was just on the telephone with Mike and our âwonderfulâ phone system went down. I know this as someone ELSE carries my cel service. and yet our phone rates keep going up. We also lost the grandfathered free long distance some time ago (I was an employee for 10 years).
OT: THINGS YOU DONâT WANT TO HEAR AT THE DIVE-THRU WINDOW.
Terrie planned on baked potatoes tonight, so off I went to the place with the little red-headed girl logo. No, NOT Annie or Ronald McDonald in a dress!
Place # 1: "We sold the last 4 just now. Can you wait 20 minutes?
No. (Drives to the next nearest)
Place #2 (in best DELIVERANCE accent): âUhhh, we got (pause while he counts his toes)âŚwe goâŚumâŚthree.â
Okay, Iâll short myself, as she really wanted two, and theyrâe small. However when I got tot he window, I gotâŚ
âUhhhhh. One was rotten. We only got two. you donât want that one, maybe?â
No, Sport. What I really want is to drag you though the window and give you a whompinâ.

Jeez, can this story be any more boring?
Itâs totally devoid of any action/excitement!
The only thing that might save it is Mike tossing in a goat or two!

Who is paying Boris? Some hostile country or a criminal organization? Truth be told this is above the Apparatusâs pay grade. That rules them out.

If Warbucks says Boris does not know who he works for, somebody either looked him up in the yellow pages or he was a referral.

I think this Boris Sirob is going to turn out to be something or some to do with Boris Johnson aka Nosnhoj Sirob.
