This seems very ho hum. It’s normal for diners to ask for a specific TV channel if the restaurant has one playing. Sports are the most frequently watched or requested, I think. Where’s the joke?

Culver’s here used to allow customers to select channels. But, now the only thing their TVs show are promotions for Culver’s.

A workout place here has TV’s. The mangers had to block CNN, Fox news, C-SPAN, and other. A couple of years ago, some men nearly got into a fist fight over CNN vs Fox News.

Yeah, who wants to watch news while they’re eating, kinda spoils the appetite.

Leroy, that’s a classy joint. Ask them to put on Cinemax.

I would have left. I do not want to be forced to listen to a TV while I eat. In doctor offices I often will ask if there is some place I can sit where there is no television. Most offices manage to find me a quiet corner. Once, for a test in the hospital, they forgot where they sent me. Eventually, they found me.
