Nice to see some semicolons getting some love…but, in response to an earlier comment, ampersands aren’t really punctuation, are they? They’re a symbol that stands for the word ‘And.’
Mourning Doves are the shyest, sweetest, most inoffensive birds and would never punctuate any other species, even raucous Blue Jays. They land and take off as if apologetically with gentle toddle-ooos.
I’m pretty sure that the extinction of the passenger pigeon was due to the birds total rejection of punctuation which led to it becoming hopelessly ambiguous.
