My cat would have been yeeted right off my lap by this. If he even sees me scratch my nose heā€™s out of there. I sneezed on him once, years ago, and he has never forgiven me.

Even if She is not on my lap, She still gives me a dirty look and grumbles at me when I sneeze.

I have started sneezing only in the last couple years. My better half informed me I may be acquiring an allergy. Iā€™m afraid that might be Arloā€™s trouble. Hard to accept pollen as his trigger when he wasnā€™t bothered yesterday and today heā€™s indoors with Luddie on his lap. Heā€™s just trying to protect his buddy.

I have allergies but not to cats necessarily. But on days when my allergies are the worst, I canā€™t be near the cats since they exacerbate the allergies. But on a typical day when the allergies arenā€™t so bad, the cats donā€™t bother me.

A neighborhood cat comes around to visit often. This time of year he is so dusty with pollen that I get to sneezing!

2 of our cats like to face nuzzle while we are petting them

It does make my face itch and can lead to sneezes

    So worth it

Iā€™m a quiet sneezer. My wife is a loud sneezer. And when I say loud I mean loud! How many people do you know who get a call from the ISS to say ā€œBless youā€.

About once a week I have ā€œsneezing fitsā€ for about 5 minutes during this time of year. Blow my nose and Iā€™m good for a while.

Pollen or cat dander? My sister-in-law is allergic to cat dander.

Donā€™t tease your cat like that! Luckily, for me, itā€™s the change of the weather and dry air that gets my sinuses going. Nothing else.

Just so the cat isnā€™t blamed.

(Heā€™s probably guilty, but it would still hurt his feelings.)

ā€˜As the global temperature has increased in recent years due to climate change, allergy season in the US is starting earlier and the amount of pollen during such periods has increased, leading to worse allergy and asthma symptoms for some ā€“ and new symptoms altogether for others, according to scientists.

That trend is projected to increase as average temperatures continue to rise, but could be reversed if humans are able to reduce carbon emissions, allergists say.ā€˜

If I sneeze and Harpo is nearby and napping he wakes with a recriminatory meow. If, however I sneeze with Groucho on my lap she bolts off me after first digging in her claws for traction. I try never to sneeze
