My idea for a metagame is to have the two opponents try to explain cricket to one another. The loser is the first one who actually manages to understand the game.
Like the underlying game, matches can sometimes last for days without anyone winning.
If it isn’t pinochle or poker, I don’t play it. I only learned those because I grew up on a ranger station and sometimes a fourth player was hard to come by. I don’t enjoy games of any kind.

Magic the Gathering. I remember reading and understanding the rules back in 4th edition but each edition it gets more complicated. I quit playing.

There is a game called Propaganda, that has the most convoluted rules system I have ever seen, which fits this strip perfectly..
